Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Providing the centralized planning, direction, and control required to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals throughout the life-cycle of their assigned projects
• Monitor, update, and report on project performance/status in accordance with the Capture Management and Planning, Program Management and Planning/Tracking, other Program Management processes
• Responsible to maintain close contact with internal stakeholders to ensure the highest possible level of program execution and customer satisfaction
• Ensure a continuous line of communication is kept open with the appropriate stakeholders and organizational leadership to maintain a high level of program status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems, identify and coordinate follow-on activities, and support
strategic planning processes
• Participate in strategy, development, review and negotiations for their programs in concert with Engineering, Business Development and the VP of Technology
• Support the development and execution of the Research and Development strategic plan within their assigned area of responsibility, as requested
• Responsible to identify the staffing/resource needs for assigned and projected programs to ensure adequate staffing for successful program completion
• Provide all financial planning documents and Estimates To Complete for each assigned program and ensure all programs meet financial and EVMS goals
• Review and approve 'Bi-Monthly Timesheet' reports each pay period
• Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Technology
Must-haves:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, or technical related discipline
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
• Experience running and managing development programs
• Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
• Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
• Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or; Master's in Engineering, Aviation or Management and typically 5-12 years of program management experience
• Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal
