Associate Director
The Associate Director role will serve as the primary finance point of contact for Enterprise IT (EIT) Organization and will be part of the EIT Leadership team. The individual will support the area via decision making, results & activity analysis, forecasting, budgeting, capital planning and headcount analyses. Support the development and analysis of investment business cases in preparation for governance reviews and through execution. Moreover, you will contribute to efficiency initiatives, partnering with EIT to enhance agility and cost-effectiveness while delivering value to business partners.
This position involves fostering data transparency and coordinating financial planning and analysis efforts globally by collaborating with EIT LT, Portfolio team, Business Finance, and IT Finance colleagues.
As the Associate Director, you will assist in managing and developing a Sr. Analyst. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in global process improvement initiatives and share knowledge with the broader IT Finance Organization.
Specific Activities:
Provide financial planning and prepare and analyze financial data during the monthly close, forecast, budget, LROP, and LRCP cycles
Drive IT Business Case financial evaluation & analysis by working closely with the IT project teams, the Business and others to articulate business value, one time investment and ongoing costs
Provide decision support for managing IT Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) throughout Application lifecycle using Apptio TCO Reporting
Support consolidation, reporting and commentary
Support headcount-related financial analysis and reporting
Build strong relationships/partnerships with the MRL IT and EIT stakeholders to understand the business and drive meaningful results
Support ad hoc analyses, processes, and tools in support of change initiatives and other business needs
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS / BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
MBA, CPA, or CFA- Preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
A minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Accounting/Finance or Business Operations in a client facing capacity
Financial planning & analysis experience
Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with Senior Management
Capability to work independently on multiple assignments simultaneously
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience with Apptio Tool, SAP, BPC, and data analytics tools (PowerBI, Thinkcell)
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical skills and ability to manage large volumes of data
Sound judgment and risk management abilities
Passion and intellectual curiosity regarding IT Business area
Demonstrated ability to influence, build and maintain client and peer relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Process improvement mindset with a focus on leveraging technology for automation and innovation
