THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all equipment and to assist in the daily operations and activities which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

THE STARTING RATE: $35.50/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain and repair all equipment related to the successful operation of boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators and all equipment that is driven by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, water, or any other power developing energy which has to do with or is related to the operation of all mechanical equipment.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and auxiliary equipment.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on ride systems and auxiliary equipment.

  •  Complete work orders assigned in a timely manner.

  •  Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Prior experience in a similar engineering role preferably in a resort setting.

  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in customer service.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in maintenance tasks.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in maintenance engineering.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Adaptability to the diverse scheduling requirements of a resort setting to include weekends, holidays, morning, afternoon and overnight shifts as needed.

  • Comfortable with joining the union per the union requirements of the role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
