Instructional Assistant, Kindergarten (NE) - St. Philip Neri School, Linthicum MD

We are seeking candidates for an Instructional Assistant, Kindergarten. She/he will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional support.

Essential Functions

• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
  
• Prepare and organize age appropriate materials and resources for students
  
• Assists students with technology or other audio equipment
  
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
  
• Ensures that arrival and dismissal procedures are conducted in a safe and orderly manner
  
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration
  
• Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities as directed by administration
  
• Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with school community
  

Position Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and 90 hour child care certification
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
• Practicing Catholic preferred
