Position Specific Description
RNG – Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems within our RNG production facility. This includes, but is not limited to, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, VFDs, MCCs, PLC/HMI/SCADA components, and related field devices to ensure safe, reliable operation and production of specification-grade RNG.
The RNG – I&E Technician performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on instrumentation and electrical equipment to keep systems in optimal condition and minimize downtime. This role diagnoses control and electrical issues, completes instrument calibrations and loop checks, supports start-up/shutdown activities, and verifies proper operation of safety and environmental protection systems. The individual ensures compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines (including LOTO and electrical safe work practices). Maintains accurate records of calibrations, maintenance activities, and as-built changes. The individual collaborates with operations and maintenance teams to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and participates in safety meetings and training to enhance knowledge and skills. This position requires approximately 25% travel.
Position Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and electrical systems to support safe, reliable operations
- Support start-up, shutdown, and commissioning activities, including loop checks and functional testing
- Identifying problems that arise and resolve them
- Support mechanical maintenance as needed
- Coordinate vendors for projects and field support
- Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered too
- Carrying out site inspections and audits
- Performing preventative and maintenance measures
- Observing gauges, dials, switches, and alarms, and other indicators to ensure that all machines are working properly
- Comprehend and interpret P&ID’s, SOP’s, and Electrical Drawings
- Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed
Job Overview
The RNG Production Technician II is responsible for the operations portion of plant by monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility. The RNG Production Technician II performs routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities. Collaborates with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Participates in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 1.5+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
