Position Overview
Serene Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Manager to oversee behavioral health clinical operations within Illinois. The Clinical Manager will provide leadership, supervision, quality assurance oversight, and operational support to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards.
This position plays a key role in supporting clinical staff, improving patient outcomes, ensuring documentation compliance, and strengthening overall program performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations for behavioral health services within Illinois
- Provide supervision, coaching, and support to therapists and clinical staff
- Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure compliance with state, federal, CMS, and organizational standards
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and quality
- Support staff onboarding, training, and ongoing clinical development
- Assist with performance improvement initiatives and corrective action plans when needed
- Provide management at our Northbrook, Schaumburg and/ or Tinley Park locations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations, credentialing, billing, and leadership teams
- Monitor productivity, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes
- Ensure staff adherence to safety planning, crisis intervention, and reporting procedures
- Support implementation and optimization of EMR/clinical platforms
- Participate in meetings, audits, and leadership initiatives
- See 15 clients per week through a combination of in-office and telehealth appointments.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or counseling.
- Active Illinois clinical license required (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2+ years of behavioral health clinical experience.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with quality assurance and clinical auditing preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with telehealth and multidisciplinary teams preferred.

Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
- Tuesday, Thursday, 11:00am-7:30pm
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel using personal vehicle to complete outreach visits. Mileage reimbursement for the use of your vehicle is at a standard rate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer.
- Lifting: Able to lift up to 15lbs.
