Job Title: Test Engineer/ Project Management Specialist

Location: Arnold AFB, TN - Tullahoma, TN (On-Site)

Canvas is seek an entry-level to Journeyman-level Test Engineer/Project Management Specialist to support the 715th Test Squadron at Arnold Air Force Base. This role involves project planning, execution, and technical analysis for hypersonic testing in aerodynamic, aerothermal, and aeropropulsion ground test facilities. The ideal candidate combines customer-facing project management skills with a technical background suitable for supporting hypersonic testing

Duties:

Project Management:

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Create and manage detailed project schedules, including task dependencies, durations, and resource allocation.
• Track project progress and report status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration within the project team.
• Employ project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Technical Support:

• Support the design, setup, and execution of hypersonic tests.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports.
• Contribute to test planning and procedure development.
• Interface with engineers and technicians from various disciplines.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve test processes and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of new test techniques and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-5 years of experience in a testing or project management environment (Experience level commensurate with entry-level to journeyman expectations).Security Clearance: Ability to maintain and obtain a Secret clearance .
• Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
• Understanding of hypersonic aerodynamics, aerothermodynamics, and/or propulsion (level commensurate with experience).
• Experience with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
