Job Description

Compliance professional, reporting to RCA Manager, will assist in providing oversight of the Company’s Retail Nondeposit Investment Product (RNDIP) program. This position will partner with the retail Brokerage / Advisory business lines within Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (WCIB), as well as Consumer & Business Banking (CBB), Operations, and other risk and compliance professionals to develop, implement, maintain, review and report on RNDIP related activities. This role will also assist in providing governance support and prepare materials for periodic meetings with senior leadership in addition to coordinating projects and other activities that help ensure the Company’s compliance with applicable RNDIP policies, procedures, regulations and guidance.

This candidate will have knowledge in RNDIP regulatory expectations and provide ongoing credible challenge to impacted business lines. Good judgment with a keen focus on risk is essential along with the ability to employ a reasonable approach to expectations for processes and controls. The candidate should be able to readily understand, identify gaps and recommend sustainable solutions to mitigate compliance risk resulting from inadequate processes or controls. The employee is expected to appropriately escalate risk issues and ensure compliance management, business partners and others are timely informed.

Primary duties include:

  • Provide reporting and develop presentations on RNDIP related activities to RNDIP Oversight Committee

  • Provide oversight and coordination of the Company’s RNDIP program that includes forming key partnerships with impacted business lines and other compliance, risk, and legal professionals

  • Review and assess products, marketing, and processes that could impact the RNDIP program (e.g., dual employees, conflicts of interest, etc.)

  • Assess ongoing compliance with RNDIP policies, procedures and regulatory expectations

  • Serve as backup to the RCA Manager

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than six years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Working knowledge of RNDIP and banking, brokerage / advisory related regulations and guidance
- Regulatory risk background in banking or securities businesses, including experience in Risk/Compliance/Audit or regulatory agency
- Understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risk/controls
- Strong analytical ability, project management and facilitation/partnering skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including management reporting
- Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and generate solutions
- Detail oriented
- Applicable professional certifications

**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**
