Purpose and Scope: 

This role encompasses the full range of Analytic Lead duties and responsibilities, including web application analytics strategy and governance, metrics analysis and reporting, and communicating insights with stakeholders. Incumbents in this role are responsible for leading the implementation and management of web analytics tools and analyzing insights from metrics to guide product strategy and improvements. The Analytics Lead should have the ability to communicate meaningful insights to decision-makers and key stakeholders. 


Overview

The Analytics Lead will work with a multidisciplinary product team to deliver a critical service offering for our government client. They will be responsible for understanding our client’s mission and goals and applying this understanding to build metrics and collect user insights, supporting the iterative development of a web application. Experience in web application analytics is required, as it has a successful track record of leading data-driven initiatives, and engaging cross functionally with a team of engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers. 

The Analytics Lead will drive strategic initiatives and work with our clients to establish methods and best practices related to analytics and metrics collection for the project.  


  •  This position will begin as temp (1099) with possibility of conversion to perm (W-2) contingent on award.


Responsibilities: 

  • Metrics Collection and Analysis. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of product(s) delivered, analyze opportunities for innovation, uncover insights on user behavior, and provide recommendations for users to better leverage existing systems, and lead the management of web application tools and dashboards. 
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management. Lead discussions to learn from and collaborate with the project team, users, and government customers, act as the analytics expert, providing guidance on metrics tracking, analysis, and interpretation, and drive data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders to guide product strategy and improvements.  
  • Tools and Technology. Manage and optimize the use of web analytics platforms, ensuring that they are used to their full potential and continuously improve data collection and analysis techniques. Support our government customer as they develop the data infrastructure necessary to support robust data exploration across multiple heterogeneous sources.  
  • Data Quality and Governance. Develop best practices and guidelines for data governance, and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across all web analytics tools.

Requirements

 

Required Skills: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or 10 years of general information technology experience with a minimum of 4 years of experience as an Analytic Lead. 
  • Strong experience using web analytics tools including Google Analytics and CrazyEgg  
  • Proven experience presenting user insights and recommendations to executive level stakeholders.
