Position Overview  The Online Product Review Intern will be responsible for monitoring and managing online product reviews for the company. This includes responding to customer comments, tracking sentiment, providing competitive analysis and identifying overall reputation management trends. The intern will also be responsible for creating and executing digital and direct customer outreach campaigns to garner more positive reviews. 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage online product reviews for the company
• Respond to customer comments in a timely and professional manner
• Track sentiment and identify trends
• Work with engineering/product team to validate information and get appropriate updates
• Determine opportunities for increased visibility and improvement
• Perform reputation management tasks, as needed
• Notify appropriate parties and respond with crafted responses on behalf of Actian
• Notify appropriate support staff of disgruntled customers
• Update company profiles to align with updates in products/messaging/overall business direction changes
• Track an maintain a log of all online reviews
• Work closely with sales and/or the online review platforms to determine potential candidates for outreach to elicit more positive reviews
• Stay up to date on our competitors, performing competitive analysis, and monitoring what is happening with their profiles
• Improve the company's product listings on comparison shopping engines. This could include adding new features, linking to free trials, or updating the product images and/ or descriptions.
• Develop an understanding of our positioning against the competitive landscape and ultimately providing the company with a brand-new online review process for your Capstone project

Nice to haves

• A creative, outside of the box thinker
• An understanding of the online product review space
• An understanding of comparison-shopping sites for B2B products like G2 Crowd, Capterra, and Gartner
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in digital marketing, or related field

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a college or university
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Knowledge of social media marketing best practices

• Weekly Events— just because the internship is remote, doesn’t mean we don’t have time for fun! Last summer, we hosted an Actian tie-dye shirt event, tiny camp fire—complete with smores(!!!), a murder mystery party, and so much more

• Opportunity to travel – we will be hosting a hybrid orientation! For those that are comfortable with being in person for orientation, we will fly you to our Austin, TX office.
