Junior Clinical Research Coordinator

Salary Range: 40k  

Work Location: Hybrid; Occasional travel to Newark, NJ. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide oversight and management of potential study participants physical examinations (conduct EKGs, collect urine screens, blood test) 

• Coordinate the flow of patients and patient retention throughout the life of the study  

• Oversee study data collection and management  

• Manage the research and laboratory facilities  

• Oversee the laboratory study activity including supervising research assistants  

• Maintain up to date knowledge of IRB protocol and report to IRB offices  

• Organize and coordinate the Data Safety and Monitoring Borad (DSMB) meeting  

Required Skills: 

• Minimum of 2 years working on medication clinical trials  

• Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences, public health, healthcare administration). 

• Experience working with alcohol and substance abuse populations a plus 

• Critical thinking and decision-making skills – ability to evaluate all aspects of a situation and to independently make appropriate and timely decisions. 

• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based information systems. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  Standing, walking, visual perception, talking and hearing.  Lifting up to 20lbs.
