A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Branch Insurance Sales Agent Trainee

This position is for employees in training to become a CMC Insurance Sales Branch Agent who have not yet attained the required state Property & Casualty Insurance license or who do not have sufficient prior experience selling Property & Casualty Insurance products. You will be challenged to drive new business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club Groups 14 million members.

This position is responsible for learning various company guidelines, systems and processes to become an effective CMC Insurance Sales Branch Agent. While this position is primarily P&C insurance sales, the position also requires the ability to sell other products such as Membership, Life Insurance and Financial products.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO

Required Qualifications:

· Valid driver’s license – with satisfactory MVR

· Successfully attain the appropriate State Property and Casualty General Lines or Personal Lines Insurance License and appropriate State Life Insurance license within 90 days of start date.

· Transition into a Property & Casualty and Life Insurance licensed CMC Insurance Sales Branch Agent

· Availability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am – 6:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm

Education/License

· High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

· 1+ year(s) of sales or customer service experience

Successful candidates will possess:

· Strong sales skills with a history of effectively developing, tracking, following up on and closing leads

· Advanced consultative selling techniques utilizing thorough product knowledge

· Strong phone sales and prospecting skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with strong customer focus

· Ambition, motivation and drive

· Knowledge of desktop systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office software applications

· Excellent listening skills and ability to understand customer needs<
