Position Summary
The HR Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) Program Manager will lead and oversee the strategic execution of the HRLDP and HR Summer Internship. This role is responsible for delivering a best-in-class rotational experience for program participants, ensuring alignment with organizational talent goals, and driving operational excellence across all program components.
** This is a hybrid role and must sit in our Hartford, CT hub location**
Roles and Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution:
Oversee the end-to-end management of the HR Leadership Development Program, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and alignment with broader talent strategies.
People Leadership & Talent Management:
Directly lead and develop a team of high‑potential early‑career HR professionals, providing ongoing coaching, performance management, and career development throughout their three‑year rotational journey.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Provide regular updates to Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders on program progress, changes, and outcomes. Foster strong relationships to ensure continued support and visibility.
Operational Excellence:
Streamline and document program operations to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Identify and implement process improvements where needed.Governance & Steering Committee Management:
Manage the program’s steering committee to ensure effective governance, decision-making, and strategic alignment.
Curriculum:
Lead enhancements to the design and implementation of a robust curriculum that supports leadership development and prepares participants for future roles within the organization.
Talent Acquisition:
Partner with Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders to recruit top talent into both the full-time rotational program and the summer internship pipeline.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
Monitor program effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and outcomes. Use insights to continuously refine and enhance the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
7 years of work experience and/or successful completion of a CVS Health Leadership Development Program (examples include but are not limited to: HRLDP, GMDP, etc.).
At least 1 year of experience in HR program management, leadership development, or talent strategy roles
Strong stakeholder management
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated strength in problem solving and decision making, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive effective outcomes.
Proven ability to collaborate and contribute within teams, fostering strong partnerships and shared success.
Experience in curriculum design and talent pipeline development is a plus
Strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent / future leaders
Conflict resolution, flexibility, time management and active listening skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Highly skilled in written and verbal communication, consistently delivering impactful and professional messaging
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
