The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization is searching for a Senior Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer with passion for fixed wing autonomous system design, development, integration, and test. The Senior Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer is a key program role within the Land and Air Defense Strategic Business Unit that operates through coordination across all other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) among disciplines and is accountable for sub-system and system level test execution throughout the lifecycle of the program.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience rapidly prototyping, integrating, and testing Fixed Wing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and will be comfortable working in a technically challenging and fast-paced environment. They will work collaboratively with leadership and across disciplines to define test strategies aligning to program objectives, develop knowledge points & test plans to maximize test coverage, coordinate test events and resources, perform hands on integration and testing, and brief results to leadership. They will coordinate with test facilities and make critical decisions regarding test strategies, venues, and scenarios. This will require that the Senior Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer work across the Raytheon business and utilize past experience to leverage technology and resources needed by the program. This is a role for a UAS Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team in defining, planning, coordinating, and conducting test and verification events for Fixed Wing UAS.
- You will influence the architecture of the system, establishing processes, and align RMD program leadership, office the of chief engineer, and multiple IPTs.
- You will apply extensive hands-on integration and test experience with Fixed Wing UAS rapid development to creatively develop test strategies and plans tailored to the program that maximize test coverage.
- Stay abreast of development schedules to plan and coordinate technology integrations and test events.
- Conduct test readiness reviews, after action reviews, and participate as needed in customer engagements.
- Ensure test configurations and events are carefully controlled and documented.
- Capture, track, and ensure the resolution of findings from test events.
- Estimate, track, and communicate cost, schedule, and risk in support of test planning and execution.
- You will Interact and coordinate with customer test community stakeholders.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience with rapid design, development, integration, and testing of Fixed Wing UAS.
- A minimum of seven (7) years In-the-Field Flight Testing experience.
- Experience with Advanced Fixed Wing UAS domains (e.g. command and control, autonomous systems, flight management systems, surveillance sensors and algorithms, airframes, structures, machine learning).
- Experience working in cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity.
- Experience piloting Fixed Wing UASs.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with FAA Part 107 or FAA Part 107 certification.
- Knowledge of current and next generation Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and associated technology.
- In depth knowledge of US Army military operations and doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF).
