As a Senior Analyst, Analytics & Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for developing and executing advanced analytics that drive decision-making, support business case development, and evaluate innovative healthcare solutions. You will work in a dynamic, data-rich environment to analyze medical, dental, and other health-related data to assess the clinical and business impact of our initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the success of pilot programs, SMILE, our startup accelerator program, and partnership strategies.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in guiding teams in developing and executing a range of analytics in the healthcare space using claims and unstructured (e.g., EHR) data sets. You should have experience testing and proving specific hypotheses using data, working closely with business leaders, and working on both short turnaround analytical studies and longer projects.
Role Objectives:
• Create and maintain a scalable self-service reporting platform to provide internal and external stakeholders with direct access to key data and reports, empowering decision-making.
• Design and develop professional, polished data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights and align with stakeholder needs.
• Develop and implement automated processes to ensure reporting and analytics are delivered consistently and efficiently, reducing manual effort.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics and Reporting
• Perform data mining, statistical modeling, and analysis to assess business and clinical outcomes.
• Analyze healthcare datasets, including claims, EHR, and unstructured data, to support hypothesis testing, market research, and innovation validation.
• Develop interactive, self-service dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the team to create data-driven business cases and value propositions for new solutions and services.
Data Acquisition and Governance
• Assist in onboarding and integrating external datasets, ensuring data quality and alignment with governance policies.
• Implement processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across projects.
• Contribute to the development of standardized metrics and reporting frameworks to ensure consistent data interpretation.
• Develop and implement automation frameworks for analytics processes to improve efficiency, ensure scalability, and support the growth of data-driven operations.
Collaboration and Support
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Innovation Services & Programs, Venture/Investing Portfolio, and the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, to address their analytical needs.
• Provide data-driven insights to support pilots, partnerships, and innovation programs.
• Support strategic initiatives by generating impact analyses and identifying trends that inform key business decisions.
• Provide healthcare data subject matter expertise to stakeholders, guiding them in leveraging data and analytics to execute on goals and achieve measurable outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, public health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, working with claims, EHR, or similar datasets; experience with dental data preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with big data platforms like Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
