SUMMARY
Charlotte Water Technology, Critical Systems Team is looking for an intern to assist with several initiatives over the summer including a system upgrade and process documentation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop operational procedures supporting administration of applications
- Provide support managing Windows 11 Rollout for Laboratory Services
- Participate in Laboratory Application upgrade assisting with configurations and documentation where applicable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Technical Writing skills
- Interpersonal Skills
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Communicate effectively
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university leading towards a Bachelor's degree with major course work in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field of study specific to the departmental and/or work assignment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The City’s Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte. The type of information that will be collected as part of a background check includes, but is not limited to: reference checks, social security verification, education verification, criminal conviction record check, and, if applicable, a credit history check, sex offender registry and motor vehicle records check.

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and physical examination. During the selection process, candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other assessments.
