JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University Department of Chemistry is seeking to fill its Undergraduate Exam Coordinator (Administrative Support Assistant 2/3).

Duties include the following:

  • Oversee all aspects of exam coordination process for undergraduate chemistry courses

  • Organize and secure copies, package, and distribute exams for large enrollment courses (e.g. Chem 110/112 that serve thousands of students each semester and require large number of rooms and proctors per exam date)

  • Reserve appropriate size and number of rooms for exam dates

  • Work closely with faculty coordinators and instructors to manage logistical details for exam dates

  • Direct other staff involved in proctor hiring process to ensure needs are met for exam dates

  • Serve as primary contact for Student Disability Resources Office and liaison with office to ensure appropriate exams are administered

  • Manage conflict and make-up exam process

Education and Experience:

A Level 2 typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Higher levels of experience are required for higher level positions.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
