The Director HVAC & EMS Quality Assurance is responsible for managing key knowledge and standards providing technical expertise to HVAC technicians and other key positions resolving complex HVAC & EMS (Energy Management Systems) issues utilizing specific system tools to ensure timely, safe, and effective solutions. Key job focus includes creating technical training, creating and implementing quality assurance testing (HVAC and EMS) and leading BGIS in streamlining quality workmanship in the field. The Director HVAC & EMS Quality Assurance leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance Leadership

• Implementation of proper EMS installation and checkouts across the BGIS portfolio.
• Create and implement EMS project level checkouts. 
• Create EMS troubleshooting guides that can be easily used for field resources.
• Focus on growth in select strategic existing accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
• Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Internal People Leadership

• Lead the quality assurance HVAC & EMS function team members and influence key matrix organizational support functions. 
• Develop and coach team members to maximize training tools and improve HVAC & EMS knowledge. 
• Direct work activities including identifying business priorities, performance expectations, and providing feedback on career growth opportunities. 
• Communicate company goals, policies, plans, and priorities both formally and informally. 
• Share information and best practices across departments and regions. 

Technical Support Management   

• Lead subject matter expertise and technical support knowledge activities for wide variety of EMS & HVAC systems and brands serviced by BGIS to answer questions, troubleshoot, repair, guide maintenance activities, and provide training. 
• Promote safety, health, and environment in all work activities and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations. 
• Facilitate specific system, equipment, and application training for client account teams, departments, and new accounts to BGIS.
• Provide regular updates on escalations trends and compile/analyze key performance indicator data to support client account teams and monthly reporting to internal executive team. 
• Lead the team in EMS/HVAC troubleshooting in attempt to minimize technician time on site along with minimizing return trips
• Managing uploading of documents, forms, and submissions to the internal portal to be shared, monitored, and reviewed by the client account teams.
• Review and verify accuracy of all compliance related data submitted from client business groups and product lines.
• Seek opportunities to improve efficiencies through best practices and collaborating with internal teams.
• Manage team to ensure proper remote support to technicians 24/7 (24 hours a day/7 days a week).
• Provide expert insights in corporate programs/projects conversations including releases of new system applications.
