The Facility Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing processes for large-scale manufacturing, planning and testing production methods, and overseeing facility operations. This role involves a combination of research, data analysis, and hands-on work to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in production at the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • manage CapEx, production, and facility related projects
  • responsible for the maintenance department technical training program
  • accountable for all compliance duties (pressure vessels, fire suppression inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, facility electrical IR scan and transformer oil analysis – just to name a few of the larger ones)
  • manage and sustain contractor relations
  • maintain and implement improvements on facility and production critical equipment
  • create and enter additional PM’s for existing and new equipment
  • work with other internal stakeholders on projects, as required
  • other tasks and duties, when required by Management

**Must have engineering background** ideal if the candidate is familiar with hydraulic systems, AC/DC high and low voltage systems, HVAC systems, process chiller systems, pneumatic systems, boilers, fabrication/rebuilding pumps, cylinders, valves, etc., fire suppression, and control systems.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in degree in Systems Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software.

  • Knowledge of chemical process engineering and safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to 110,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
