The Strategic Workflow Consultant demonstrates and positions the end-to-end value of Roche’s Molecular and Pathology Lab portfolio of solutions (systems) and Roche Consulting (RC) services to our customers. You will work with our hospital, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), and reference laboratory customers by analyzing and improving complex automated laboratory solutions to improve customer workflow processes. You will address customer's unique priorities, challenges, and needs through continuous improvement efforts, which may include collecting customer feedback/data, refining methods/tools, performing complex analyses, and recommending solutions.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and advise hospital, IDN, and reference laboratory customers by analyzing and addressing their Molecular and Pathology Lab workflow, work practices, and/or operational issues by following a standardized end-to-end approach that creates evidence-based, differentiated value for the Molecular and Pathology Lab solution portfolios

  • Influence others to adopt near-term and longer term solutions by credibly recommending lab practice/lab design changes to reduce waste, cut cost, improve quality, increase safety, and improve turnaround times

  • Partner with external customers and internal stakeholders (pre-sales, post-sales, Marketing, IT, and other teams) to implement detailed customer installation requirements which meet customers’ needs with fully functioning products/solutions according to specifications

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions.

  • Assist customers with workflow or operational issues related to Roche systems.

  • Collaborate with managers and consultants to develop, refine, and constantly evolve high-value deliverable templates, best practices, and other tools to deliver differentiated, value-creating consulting services; facilitate RC training to sales, service, and customer teams.

  • Provide support and expertise to assist peers with the assessment of new and existing customer laboratories and work practices; recommend near and longer-term improvements that deliver efficiency, safety, and effectiveness to customer stakeholders.

  • Communicate the value of RC services to internal and external stakeholders through written documents, speaking engagements, marketing materials, etc.

  • Perform related administrative duties, such as creating and submitting expense reports, status reports, and adhere to any additional regulatory requirements

  • Deliver consulting services, such as Visioning Workshops, Lab Collaboration Modeling, and Rapid Improvement Methodologies

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience addressing diverse and oftentimes complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of many factors. Exercising appropriate judgment in selecting evaluation methods and determining solution criteria is critical. The ideal candidate demonstrates agility in a rapidly changing, matrixed organization and is comfortable operating in an evolving, ambiguous environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating the activities of others, networking with internal and external senior personnel in their area of expertise, and networking with key contacts outside their area of expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Sciences or closely related scientific/technical discipline.

  • Experience with process mapping, statistical and reporting tools

  • 5 years of experience in Operations, Engineeri
