This group designs electronic hardware utilizing Antennas, Power Amplifiers, transceivers and digital hardware. Efforts include development of Special Test Equipment (STE) and test software for both prototype and automated test procedures. The temporary employee will be capable of working with the hardware design team to incorporate RF requirements evaluation into software framework, including capturing and analyzing RF data with COTS test equipment as well as digitized IQ data within Matlab.

The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to architect, develop, document, support, debug, and test the software to test various types of digital, and mixed-signal, power circuit, and other interface circuit, board, and module level designs.  The candidate will be expected to fulfil role as a subject matter expert for a small team of 1-2 engineers, to facilitate training and knowledge sharing as a mentor.

• Support ITA design and ETP development for testability
• Develop custom test software to support custom CCA design, with debug modes
• Mentor and train team for career development and knowledge transfer
• Provide recommendations and solutions to a variety of technical problems of appropriate scope and complexity and working autonomously or in small groups.

Qualifications you must have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
• Experience in the development of detailed software design for test and automation frameworks.
• Experience with NI TestStand and LabView
• Experience with Amplifiers, Antennas, Oscillators, LNAs, ADCs, DACs, attenuators, and other RF/Microwave modules/components to support STE design and test procedure development
• Experience using RF/Microwave test equipment such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, and high-speed Oscilloscopes

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with high-speed data acquisition and analysis
• Experience optimizing test automation for reducing test time for highly repeated testing
• Experience developing python and Matlab software to support STE control or analyze digitized data

The salary range for this role is $65.87 to $116.11.  The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
