Job Description

As part of the Cloud Quality and Reliability team you will be responsible for the functional and system testing of various features and solutions of the Zscaler cloud.

• Develop automation frameworks and automate test cases for the various features of Zscaler Client Connector.

• Expand automation coverage and infrastructure to improve the quality and efficiency of testing. • Understand requirements, develop an exhaustive test plan, execute manual and automated test cases, dig deeper into issues, identify root causes and articulate defects clearly.

• Deliver a high-quality robust product in a fast-paced environment.

• Work closely with the Development, Product Management, and cloud Operations teams from design to release of the product/ feature.

• Recreate complex customer and production reported issues to determine root cause and verify the fix.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

• 6+ years experience as Software QA Engineer working on VPN related products or network traffic related testing / automation.

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.

• Proficient programming skills (python preferred) and good amount of hands-on experience developing automation frameworks, CICD pipelines and leading automated test case development. • Good knowledge of TCP/IP stack, ICMP/UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/ TLS, DNS and DHCP.

• Proficient in Networking fundamentals (L3,L4,L7) , Proxies, Firewalls, Routers and Load Balancers.

• Hands on experience with configuring VPNs and setting up GRE / IPSec Tunnels is a plus. • Experience setting up testbeds in a Virtualization environment is good to have.

• Self-starter, takes initiatives and ownerships, identifies and completes tasks within a reasonable timeframe and is goal driven.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrate good debugging and troubleshooting skills. • System Load and Performance testing knowledge is good to have.

• Demonstrate good leadership skills. • Ability to work with remote teams, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $115,500 to $165,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
