We are seeking a Junior Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team and provide exceptional child-friendly dental care across 5+ practices in Brooklyn and Queens. This role is crucial in helping young patients feel comfortable while ensuring smooth clinical operations.

💰 Competitive Pay: Hourly rates start at $18/hr, with higher compensation available for candidates with meaningful experience!

What You’ll Do:

✔ Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, including cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, and extractions.
✔ Create a warm, welcoming, and child-friendly environment to help young patients feel safe and at ease.
✔ Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and organizing materials tailored for pediatric care.
✔ Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) with gentle and child-focused techniques.
✔ Educate parents and children on oral hygiene, diet, and post-treatment care to promote lifelong healthy habits.
✔ Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and tracking oral health progress.
✔ Assist with space maintainers and other pediatric dental appliances as needed.
✔ Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
✔ Stay updated on the latest best practices and techniques in pediatric dentistry through ongoing education.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credentials or equivalent certification.
✔ X-ray certification and CPR certification preferred.
✔ Experience working with children in a dental or healthcare setting is a plus!
✔ Proficiency in pediatric dental procedures and using child-friendly dental tools.
✔ Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with young patients and their families.
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic pediatric practice.
✔ Commitment to providing a compassionate, child-focused dental experience.
