The Area Director – SEPA – Distribution-Maintenance-Damage Prevention is accountable to the Vice President Operations for the safe, compliant, relaible operations of the assigned work Department. The positon is accountable for the business financial and performance metrics assigned. The position is charged with evaluating status quo and implementing change, using change management tools and communications, to evolve the assigned organization for high performance and relevancy in the industry.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the daily operations of the SEPA Divisions whose work broadly covers:
- Distribution system operations
- Distribution system maintenance
- Damage Prevention compliance.
- Ensuring the Aqua safety program is implemented and engrained in daily operations.
- Coordinating with other Aqua Departments to ensure Company mission is achieved.
- Prepare and manage to expectations the Division Capital and Operating Budgets.
- Act as liaison with municipal and state officials. Maintain favorable relations and enhance Company image with the public.
- Managing and reporting on Department metrics.
- Ensure that all work orders are completed in a timely fashion.
- Allocate resources across the SEPA Divisions to meet workload demands.
- Ensuring compliance with Regulatory Agencies and Governmental Agencies requirements.
- Maintain a high performing team and assess the same through the Aqua Performance management processes.
- Responsible for reliable operations and management of contingency situations
- Develop and implement a Strategy for operational excellence.
- Work with company personnel in actively pursuing acquisitions in water and wastewater using contacts with borough and township officials.
- Ensure training programs exist and are delivered by subordinates. A team succession plan and development plan must be maintained.
- Support other Aqua Departments at direction of Supervisor.
- Manage union collective bargaining agreement.
