Position Overview
Under administrative direction, performs administrative duties for the Public Service Administrator/Director of Mediation. Assists in the administration and coordination of all aspects of the IDHR Mediation Program. Provides for the preparation of case files received from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Communicates with the public and parties regarding the mediation program and general agency operations.

Essential Functions
- Serves as a Liaison to Mediators, general public and parties of a charge of discrimination.
- Provides administrative support to Mediation Unit.
- Provides administrative support for EEOC cases.
- Provides back up support for case assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
- Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers working knowledge of office procedures and practices, and ability to operate and maintain commonly used office equipment.
