Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to support our Fortune 100 financial services client’s digital transformation initiatives.  This role will serve the U.S. Consumer Card team in our client’s Manhattan-based corporate office.  The U.S. Consumer Card team is a fast-paced, innovative team that partners with a cross-functional set of collaborators including Sales, Marketing, Risk, Product, Compliance and Tech partners across the globe to modernize the onboarding experience.  

In this role, the Sr. Product Manager will support ongoing technical changes and maintenance related to bank requirements by identifying digitization opportunities based on a product roadmap.  The individual will partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient prioritization and delivery of the product backlog.

  • Location: Hybrid in NYC (3 days per week onsite required in lower Manhattan area)

What you’ll do:

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will play a critical role within a team that supports many enterprise business priorities throughout the consumer credit card application process.

  • Provide support for and/or lead core development projects within the consumer card application experience.
  • Support requirement gathering and the creation of features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead critical analysis for the team’s core product releases, testing, and ongoing product performance and optimization.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to continuously optimize the backend and UI/UX for onboarding capabilities.
  • Collaborate with and bring along business partners and colleagues including Business/Solution Architect, Product Managers, Product Owner, etc.
  • Develop and execute and test and learn strategy that aligns with team’s overall goals and long-term roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities and areas to test and learn, define hypotheses, design experiments, evaluate results and recommend next steps.
  • Analyze data and insights from prototypes or experiments to identify what works and is scalable in alignment with strategy goals.
  • Ideate potential business metrics and targets to quantify impact of experiments that accelerate program roadmap initiatives and platforms.
  • Demonstrate prototypes or new concepts with partners, users, and other colleagues.
  • Ensure that the appropriate tracking and reporting is in place to track performance where necessary and to help evaluate future investment.
  • Understand and apply new trends and competitive best practices to drive modernization of onboarding platforms and capabilities.
  • Support and implement agile principles within the team.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to a Product Owner within the team.

Qualifications

  • Financial services or FinTech background strongly preferred.
  • People leadership experience within a Product Management capacity.
  • Experience working in digital product development with experience launching digital experiences from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with APIs and backend web development.
  • Familiarity with all digital channels including mobile apps, web, and email.
  • Proven track record of positively collaborating with and influencing partners in a matrixed environment to achieve outcomes without direct authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple business and technology workstreams, as well as the strong organizational skills necessary to do so.
  • Skilled in Agile product development methodologies and comfortable with collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work with white space to help design technical solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • Ability to analyze data to determine priorities, opportunities, and issues with the product.
  • High-caliber presentation skills, both in terms of preparing and delivering a strategic vision to large groups and senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and manage through ambiguity and rapid change.
