Position Summary

The Controls Solutions Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of building automation and HVAC control systems. This role ensures systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with industry standards while leading a team of technicians and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all HVAC controls and building automation system (BAS) projects.
• Lead, train, and supervise controls technicians and engineers.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Review and approve system designs, control sequences, and technical documentation.
• Ensure proper commissioning, testing, and optimization of control systems.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical support.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and project timelines.
• Provide regular reports on project status, performance, and risks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum requirements are a High School Diploma, HVAC, Controls Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation.
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and BAS platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
• Proficiency with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting controls systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
• Experience in energy management and sustainability initiatives.
