About the Role:
The Produce Warehouse Production Manager is responsible for various tasks from day to day and open to learning new skills. Individuals will be responsible for the daily production of high-quality food products for our produce, deli, cheese, bakery, and grocery. This role is the leader of the Food Production team in conjunction with our chef and buying team to accomplish the overall daily productions requirements. This position requires for a flexible schedule, including possible overnight shifts.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a schedule and get people on breaks and lunches as scheduled based on the needs of the operation.
- Analyze workload and adjust workforce.
- Follow recipe specifications as defined in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet all kitchen and recipe guidelines.
- Ensure that facilities are clean and products are stored properly/ labeled accordingly. Submit the daily cleaning checklist with photos.
- Communicate to Director of Produce Operations/ Chefs/ Deli Administrative Assistant/ Business Development of needs for product, packaging, labels, supplies and ensure proper availability.
- Maintain cleanliness of all items/ equipment/ products and facilities.
- Packing and labeling foods to go with accuracy and integrity.
- Producing raw goods into finished retail, ready consumer packaged goods.
- Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms and meet all spoilage targets.
- Measure and report on the fulfillment metrics daily.
- Communicate effectively and timely with supervisors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1-3 years’ experience working in a kitchen environment with proven production experience.
- Serv-Safe certified.
- Experience cooking/ handling of cold and hot foods.
- Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Packout/ Production Experience.
