Collins Aerospace Power and Controls is seeking a dynamic Deputy Program Chief Engineer to lead the coordination of Engine Control Systems engineering efforts for Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan Engines. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering reliable control systems and components for the cutting edge A320neo platform.

As the point of contact for engineering within the Value Stream, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence and ensuring the successful execution of all engineering activities. What You Will Do

  • Represent Engineering in the Large Commercial Engines Value Stream.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

  • Manage overall program milestones and deliverables though tracking IPTs to commitments.

  • Ensure all technical requirements and budget targets are measured and met.

  • Coordinate overall program technical communications internally and externally.

  • Ensure all technical scope changes are properly coordinated with the Value Stream Leaders.

  • Communicate effectively (verbally and written) to Value Stream team, Senior Management, and Pratt & Whitney.

  • Drive world class reliability through fleet monitoring and field investigations / Relentless Root Cause & Corrective Action activities.

  • Maintain fleet reliability metrics.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Project Engineering or Program Management & leading cross functional teams within a matrix organization.

  • Knowledge of Controls Systems on commercial turbo-fan engines is desired.

  • Experience in design, development, and certification of control system hardware.

  • Knowledge or background in systems engineering.

  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization (including Executive leadership).
