Copper River Cyber Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in support of a new contract at the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Responsiveness. This position will be performed remotely with the occasional need for an onsite meeting in the Washington D.C. area.
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for data warehousing across the program, from initial design, implementation, and ongoing operations.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Providing guidance to all shareholders, from developers to senior management.
- Participates as needed in all phases of system and software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
- Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of data management.
- Defining technical problems in engineering and applications to arrive at solutions.
- Supporting data warehouse environments both on prem and in the cloud
- Provide data warehouse technical guidance, leadership, and knowledge
- Provide data warehouse administration both on prem and in the cloud
- Establishing, managing, configurating, and supporting data warehouse environments
- Managing data warehouse related upgrades
- Participate in internal planning and reporting processes
Requirements:
- Clearance:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Education:
- Bachelors degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Data warehouse certifications preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Experience with implementation and administration of data warehouse environments
- Experience establishing data warehouse environments
- Experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and maintaining data warehouse environments on prem and in the cloud
- Experience managing, configurating, and supporting the data warehouse environments
- Experience creating and presenting technical specifications and requirements
- Experience producing quality documentation
- Experience working with Federal government clients
- Preferred Skills:
- Data warehouse knowledge and experience
- Cloud knowledge and experience
- Data Lake and data lakehouse knowledge and experience a plus
- Cyber Security knowledge and experience a plus
- Platform and data migration knowledge and experience a plus
- Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience a plus
- SharePoint knowledge and experience a plus
