Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related filed and/or FL license and/or ARRT preferred.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Current licensure in the state of Florida and/or ARRT preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider
  • Five (5) years managerial experience in Imaging or related filed preferred
  • Specialty Certification preferred
  • Effective computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

Position Summary

The Outpatient Imaging Operations Manager monitors/manages the daily operation of the Imaging Department to include all modalities and clerical staff. This role assures prompt and efficient flow of patients through the department coordinating testing procedures and resources.  The Manager performs necessary quality assurance tests and monitors overall quality of exams performed daily.

  • Maintains accurate records of technical staff to assure all licensure requirements are fulfilled.
  • Oversees maintenance of equipment and schedules service when necessary.
  • Manages recalls through Materials Management system to ensure supplies and equipment safety. 
  • Seeks to improve team member morale and development.
  • Seeks to improve customer satisfaction scores.
  • Maintains quality control standards.
  • Maintains all personnel folders, competencies, and evaluations.
  • Maintains all regulatory agencies requirements for the facility.
  • Maintains standardized workflow and policies and procedures.
  • Maintains all appropriate productivity standards and cost control measures.
  • Supports the Director in accomplishing the operational and strategic goals of the imaging department.
  • Participates in the business development and marketing plans to grow the business.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Imaging and the Chief of Radiology to achieve service, outcome, and costs for the department.
  • Effectively uses and role models current leadership techniques and theories, encouraging the decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
  • Ensures that information disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
  • Understands and enforces hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
