Job Description

The goal of HydraForce’s internship program is to develop future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our Supplier Quality Engineering team. We structure the engineering internship to allow candidates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to our industry. Project tasks reflect an increasing level of technical complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and success on prior assignments. Although there is no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into an entry-level engineering position upon graduation.

Supporting Job Elements:

• Create Value Stream Maps and then create projects to lean out process
• Clean, merge and analyze data from multiple data sources
• Create databases to house past and future data
• Use tools and techniques from Six Sigma, Lean, to analyze and solve problems
• Assist in continuous improvement projects
• Day to day support activities but not limited to inspection, sorting, problem investigations, and PPAP approvals
• Assist in non-conforming material reports and analysis
• Create and modify existing systems that track our metrics
• Create, improve on documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, WI, and process flows

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel skills; Power Bi, Minitab
• Committed to an engineering college undergraduate program
• Completed a minimum of 24 hours at the university level
• Coursework and/or experience in setting up databases, SPC, data collection
• Coursework and/or experience in statistical analysis, lean tools
• Coursework and/or experience in measurement systems
• Basic experience in 3D modeling; Understanding of GD&T
• Working knowledge of problem solving techniques and FMEAs
• Great written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

 Majors Desired:

Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
