We’re looking for a Senior Manager Technical Accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Accounting Senior Director, you will get to work across many different technical accounting matters, global accounting policy, external reporting, special projects and implementation of new US GAAP guidance. The position is part of the larger Group Controlling team based in the same location.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for specific accounting areas and related footnotes in Forms 10-Q and Forms 10-K. Initial areas are expected to include goodwill and other intangibles, equity investments, derivatives and others.
- Provide technical accounting advice on complex business transactions including researching, analyzing, and documenting technical accounting positions and clearly communicate to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide U.S. GAAP accounting guidance to subsidiary and corporate personnel.
- Assist and support the development of team members through coaching and training.
- Monitor accounting literature for new reporting requirements that may potentially impact the Company and lead the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors on matters involving technical accounting, internal controls, financial policies and SEC reporting.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in the development, revision and maintenance of the Company's Financial Policies & Procedures.
- Prepare quarterly accounting and regulatory update presentations for the Company's Audit Committee.
- Perform Sarbanes-Oxley controls and certification processes quarterly.
- Participate in special projects sponsored by senior management.
- Provide training and development to the broader finance organization, where relevant.
QUALIFICATIONS
We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field, CPA preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
- Public entity reporting requirements knowledge is required.
- Ability to deal with diverse levels of financial and operating personnel in a multi-national organization and multiple 3rd party external organizations.
- Ability to analyze financial performance and obtain valid explanations for variances.
