Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.Training Coordinator
The Training Coordinator will join the growing Material Flow & Inventory Control team where they will be responsible for coordinating and executing the training programs of the department. They will be designing engaging learning materials and teach our lineside trainers how to deliver them. The Training Coordinator will help implement and design training programs with the primary goal of boosting workplace performance and drive professional growth within our organization. In addition, they will conduct some specialized individual training.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate scheduling for training courses for onboarding or retrains
- Translate SWIs from the business into trainings
- Lead a culture of safety compliance, especially as it pertains to material handling equipment
- Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
- Administer specialized training courses to both groups and individuals
- Develop or oversee the production of instructional materials and aids
- Evaluate employee performance to gauge where skills are lacking
- Complete physical tasks as directed, including but not limited to: pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, etc
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks
- Demonstrate positive safety record
- Proven experience in designing training materials
- Adequate knowledge of learning management software
- Sound decision making and organizational skills
- Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Willing to travel during the week within facilities
- Willingness to contribute at all levels of the organization and team
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
