Lucid Motors is building our Global Retail Operations team in Newark, CA (SF Bay Area). We are currently seeking a Retail Merchandise Product Planner to join our collaborative team. This role will coordinate inventory needs for Lucid’s growing eCommerce and Retail channels as well as corporate and employee programs.
The Retail Merchandise Product Planner will support the Retail Operations team as we expand globally, to ensure that the right quantity of Lucid product is always in the right location at the right time. This role will collaborate extensively with many cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The Role
- Analyze historical data and trends to develop category and product-level inventory plans supporting division objectives.
- Monitor location performance and regularly report performance-based KPIs.
- Maintain SKU level forecasts and product purchase needs to meet those forecasts.
- Create location-based inventory plans, that reflect local sales patterns and communicate regularly with associated retail managers.
- Collaborate with the Retail Merchandise team to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge.
- Generate Purchase Requests
- Maintain product delivery schedules internally and externally
- Foster vendor relationships and maintain operational communication
- Support inventory management between retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels
- Ensure timely and accurate execution in support of New Store Openings
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the Retail Operations team with other duties as needed.
- This is an in-office role and sits in Newark, CA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field – business, finance, or supply chain preferred.
- 5+ years of previous experience in inventory planning, allocation, purchasing or related supply chain role, multi-unit retail experience preferred.
- Financial and business acumen, ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
- Strong SAP Experience is required, especially in purchasing/procurement transactions.
- Proficiency in Retail Metrics (Sales, Inventory, Sell Through, Weeks of Supply, Trend based forecasting, Revenue and Margin), and the ability to develop data driven allocation decisions.
- Comfort with ambiguity and passion/excitement for building new tools and processes.
- Track record of success in developing relationships with cross-functional teams both internal and external.
- Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail.
- Positive/go-getter, team player, who can also work independently, with the ability to troubleshoot and work in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working with and analyzing data, strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Start-up experience working in complex operational environments is a plus.
- Enthusiastic about the future of automotive luxury and sustainable mobility.
