JOB TITLE: Senior System Engineering
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75075
DUTIES: Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. Design and develop tools for Azure migrations and transformation, and migrate existing platforms and applications to Azure using native patterns. Automate cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance, leveraging modern DevOps and GitOps practices. Build, manage, and maintain robust tools for deployment, monitoring, backup, and operations, incorporating leading open-source and commercial technologies. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest levels of quality, performance, and cost optimization. Focus on infrastructure scalability, security, availability, and proactive performance tuning. Identify and address infrastructure deficiencies, availability gaps, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities, including hands-on remediation using Astra. Serve as an escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cloud infrastructure support and assist with the technical feasibility analysis of business requirements. Design and develop solutions for Azure migrations, transformation tools, and automating cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance. Build, manage, and maintain deployment, monitoring, and operations tools for high-traffic, production Azure environments, including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions. Design, implement, and manage cloud automation and orchestration solutions using CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, and infrastructure-as-code tools. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and advanced GitHub Actions. Use and manage cloud-agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Redis, NGINX, Kafka, Ansible, and Terraform. Manage Kubernetes clusters, including application deployment and lifecycle management with ArgoCD, backup and disaster recovery management with Velero, and Helm-based application packaging and deployment. Develop and maintain custom Helm charts for various applications. Develop, optimize, and maintain AI-driven workflows, integrating MCP for advanced orchestration and leveraging AI frameworks. Leverage real-time and synthetic monitoring solutions (Dynatrace, EFK/ELK/Splunk, Prometheus, Catchpoint) and program solutions using Python and Linux Shell scripting. Apply advanced cloud security practices including RBAC, group policy configuration, authorization, and auditing.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation designing and developing solutions for Azure migrations, transformation tools, and automating cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance; building, managing, and maintaining deployment, monitoring, and operations tools for high-traffic, production Azure environments, including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions; designing, implementing, and managing cloud automation and orchestration solutions using CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, and infrastructure-as-code tools; building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and advanced GitHub Actions; using and managing cloud-agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Redis, NGINX, Kafka, Ansible, and Terraform; managing Kubernetes clusters, including application deployment and lifecycle management with ArgoCD, backup and disaster recovery management with Velero,
