• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise AP staff, including training, performance evaluations, and development.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve payment issues or disputes promptly.
• Monitor and manage AP aging reports to ensure timely payment and prevent late fees.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounting, Treasury, and other departments to improve payment processes and cash flow forecasting.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation and approvals are maintained.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes including 1099 filings.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline the AP function.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
