Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting repaired or upgraded tools ensuring that all drawing and technical specifications as document by the technical service engineer, OEM drawings and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use various gages and measuring devices to ensure product compliance.
- Review protocols, qualifications, and validation procedures documented by the organization.
- Audit and monitor quality requirements by performing detailed tool inspections in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
- Investigate non-conformance issues or discrepant materials and assists in resolving issues to ensure final inspection clearance.
- Verify goods comply with company and/or federally and international regulated protocols.
- Occasionally, perform complex surface plate layout.
- Complete inspection reports and findings for proper documentation and correction.
- Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:

High School Diploma / GED
-
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in inspection of complex machine tool parts

Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100
-
Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and common technical information and reports, including the ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T

Experience with tooling quality (both machine fixtures and inspection gages)

Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word

Extreme attention to detail, organized, and accurate

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
