Project Manager – Plant SCADA

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager for Wind, Solar, and BESS Plant SCADA projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out of complex, multi-discipline projects. The Project Manager will lead projects in a cost-effective manner in accordance with requirements and standards set forth in project contract(s). The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects. This position is open to remote or in-person locations in the US.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex Wind, Solar, or BESS SCADA projects.
• Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
• Accountable for key project decision making
• Lead the project team – coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
• Manages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule and cost
• Responsible for leading project meetings internally and externally
• Point person for contract negotiation and management
• Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan
• Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required
• Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
• Proactively manages project requests for information and action items
• Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
• Responsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes
• Ensure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the project
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
• Achieves results by problem solving, setting priorities and organization
• Maintains customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner

What We Expect from You

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
• 5 or more years of SCADA related project management experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read and understand construction and procurement contracts
• Experience in Microsoft Project and/or P6 preferred
• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
• Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with owners’ representatives, contractors, vendors and others on and off the project
• Ability to travel to project sites as required  
• Must be able to travel to project sites as required
• Ensure adherence to Safety policies
• Ensure adherence to client’s QA/QC programs
• Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues
• Must have permanent work authorization for the US
