Position Summary
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Fuel Cell Stack Design Verification Team in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. Learning Objectives
- Learn the basic fuel cell hands on operating and data analysis skills
- Learn basic fuel cell physics
- Gain experience working in a professional engineering work environment
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and summarize data from fuel cell tests to determine interactions between design, performance and lifetime
- Run bench top experimentation to study failure modes in fuel cells
- Contribute to bench top test equipment design and development
- Experiment with fluid flow behavior in fuel cell flow field plates
Education and Qualification
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, materials science or physics
- Desire to learn and work hard in a technically interesting field
- Must have reliable transportation to the office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Estimated Base Salary Range:
