Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Fuel Cell Stack Design Verification Team in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. Learning Objectives

• Learn the basic fuel cell hands on operating and data analysis skills
• Learn basic fuel cell physics
• Gain experience working in a professional engineering work environment

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and summarize data from fuel cell tests to determine interactions between design, performance and lifetime
• Run bench top experimentation to study failure modes in fuel cells
• Contribute to bench top test equipment design and development
• Experiment with fluid flow behavior in fuel cell flow field plates

Education and Qualification

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, materials science or physics
• Desire to learn and work hard in a technically interesting field
• Must have reliable transportation to the office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
• Must be driven and self-motivated

Estimated Base Salary Range:

$21.00 - $25.00
