Job Summary:
The Director of Litigation Support and Practice Technology will direct and oversee all aspects of the electronic discovery process and litigation & practice support staff. This director also will be responsible for designing and implementing litigation practice group technology strategic initiatives, and ensuring our team members are successfully using firm technology to improve legal outcomes, while driving adoption of services and technology across litigation case teams and clients. The primary mission of this position is to provide legal teams automated solutions for efficiently managing information associated with representing clients, in addition to overseeing the management of the information throughout the matter lifecycle in various formats and applications. The Director must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position. We are looking for a Director to lead and foster the evolution of our firm-wide team.

New York salary in the range of $100,000 - $200,000 dependent on experience level.
Essential Job Duties:
•Establish technical standards, policies, and procedures for the utilization in overall litigation support operations and litigation practice technologies
•Establish goals, provide metrics, report results and routinely evaluate processes for improvement.
•Market the team’s capabilities and serve as the primary point of contact for users and attorneys.
•Identify litigation support training needs and oversee the development of training program for attorneys and staff on the use of litigation support tools, concepts, and procedures.
•Oversee the design and development phases of implementing new hardware/software and facilitate the development of project objectives, scope and work plans for assignments using best practices and established procedures.
•Work closely with IT and IG teams to ensure all processes, people and business functions are aligned to deliver consistent customer success and drive greater adoption of Firm services and technology, including developing strategy to measure and improve customer satisfaction.
•Evaluate vendor proposals and coordinate and negotiate vendor contract services and pricing.
•Keep abreast of current technologies, strategies, and solutions relating to legal support automation.
•Ensure data is maintained in accordance with Firm approved Risk & IG policies/procedures.
•Evaluate Firm data to ensure it is structured, secured and mapped appropriately.
•Prepare annual litigation practice technology budget for application licensing, maintenance, data storage income and expense and update cost; providing guidance to case teams and firm clients in budgeting processes
Minimum Requirements:
•8-10 years of progressive practice technologies and/or litigation support experience with overall leadership responsibility for management, operations, and employee management of the practice technologies, case management, trial support, e-discovery and/or litigation support functions within a law firm
•Expert‐level knowledge of litigation and other practice related information management systems, databases, case management, practice technology, discovery and evidence management, and imaging management software and systems
•Project management expertise to design, direct and implement best practices and processes that minimize risk and maximize opportunities for the firm and its clients through the efficient and cost-effective processing of work
•Strong goal-setting and strategic planning skills to support the evolution of practice technologies; aptitude for continuous improvement
•Proven experience having a strong focus on client service and responsiveness for internal and external clients; ability to work in a consultative manner.
•A commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and the ability to lead, influence and motivate others
•Ability to travel to other firm offices to attend meetings or provide support as needed
