Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Strong expertise in data manipulation, transformation, and database management, with the ability to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Experience with report automation, process optimization, and working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
- 4 or more years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on advanced reporting and data visualization.
- Experience with analytical project management and successful demonstration of descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads the development and maintenance of advanced reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL, ensuring alignment with strategic business needs.
- Leads special projects requiring commensurate analytical expertise and the development of executive level presentations
- Translates business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards.
- Ensures appropriate measures and reports are defined and implemented to assess organizational performance and/or initiative performance.
- Performs organizational research by gathering, interpreting and comparing operational data to benchmarking/best practice data, and provides insights/recommendations to the organization
- May perform complex data analysis and interpret large datasets
