Job Description
The On-Call Receptionist is the brand ambassador and first point of contact to visitors of the Brookfield Place Calgary lobby and provides information to both tenants and patrons as required. The ideal candidate will present a very friendly and professional image to all our customers ensuring the highest level of customer excellence. Communication with the Security command center will be necessary.
Responsibilities:
Delivers superior customer service to internal/external clients in a confident and friendly manner.
Presents and delivers information regarding Toronto Tourism, local events calendars, current affairs etc.
Demonstrates knowledge of Brookfield Place in general: specifically, around its tenants, employees, locations, etc.
Ensures excellent housekeeping of client reception areas by being personally proactive and liaising with the Service Centre when necessary.
Controls building access by ensuring couriers, contractors, and other agents are directed accordingly.
Maintains various statistics as requested for Marketing, Security, and trend analysis purposes.
Creates and maintains information databases regarding building services, events, and other items.
Updates electronic directories as required.
Distributes, receives, and coordinates tenant requests and information.
Assists Marketing and Special Events during planning and setup stages for major events and galas.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Service / Personal Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a professional high-energy customer service environment, preferably in the hospitality industry or related field.
Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal skills
Able to prioritize and multi-task with strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.
Experience in Outlook email, internet.
Excellent telephone manner
Education/Designation/Licenses:
Minimum Grade 12 education is required. Preference will be given to those who possess post-secondary education in a hospitality service curriculum or work equivalent experience.
