Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Temporary Research Support assists in research work in support of a major research project which may include duties such as gathering, tracking and entering data, preparing support material, etc.

Additional Department Summary: Assists in research work to support a major research project. Assists in the design and implementation of a driveline dynamometer system and integrating test equipment and developing test methods for this and related dynamometer systems. This position will report to Drs. Josh Bittle and Paul Puzinauskas.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with experience developing and utilizing engine and vehicle test platforms.

Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD, CAM, engine and vehicle controls and communication networks and knowledge regarding engine combustion characterization.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience designing, constructing and utilizing engine and vehicle test systems and engine combustion quality assessment tools.
