Senior Accountant (Pulte Mortgage)

This position is hybrid requiring two days per week in office in Englewood, Colorado.

It will require being in office more while training and onboarding.

We are looking for a candidate who excels at meeting deadlines while producing accurate work. Strong critical thinking and technical skills are essential.  Demonstrated expertise in systems (including Excel), data flow and system implementations is preferred.  We need someone willing and capable of handling tasks ranging from basic to advanced levels with efficiency and precision.

Primary Responsibilities

• In compliance with GAAP and company policy:

  • Preparation of daily/monthly general ledger journal entries

  • Prepare reconciliations, identify and resolve reconciling items

  • Internal and external financial reporting

• Preparation of tasks related to key controls

• Coordination of accounting matters with other departments, areas, and/or divisions

• Participation in accounting projects on an ad hoc basis

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

• CPA or demonstrated progress towards CPA preferred

• Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience working in an accounting capacity

• Proficiency with MS Office with advanced Excel skills

• Experience with system implementations and testing

Pay: $80,000 to $95,000 annually, depending upon experience.

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees are eligible for up to 6 days of sick pay. Moreover, eligible employees with less than 10 years of service can accrue up to 17 PTO days per year (and up to 22 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service).
