About the opportunity
N26 is looking for a Corporate Compliance Senior Associate to join N26's Corporate Compliance team. The core purpose is to ensure that N26 operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. The role emphasizes ensuring lawful and ethical conduct across the organization, preventing regulatory violations, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. The Corporate Compliance Senior Associate will ensure rigorous compliance and contribute to scaling the corporate compliance function through enhancements of the second line of defense training framework and an independent execution of the Corporate Compliance controls framework.
In this role, you will:

Contribute to the design, implementation, and execution of a robust second-line Corporate Compliance controls framework as well as the resulting quarterly and annual reporting.

Conduct compliance assessments on a broad range of Corporate Compliance topics and for a variety of material business initiatives across N26.

Play a key role in the continuous and smooth execution of the annual second line of defense training calendar and contribute significantly to the enhancement of the second line of defense training framework by standardization and conscientious execution.

Conduct the stakeholder management for and around the company-wide training framework including quality assurance of training, monitoring of completion rates, recording and launch preparation as well as general enhancements and standardizations for the employee training framework.

Become a trusted advisor for First Line business units and other key stakeholders regarding Bribery and Corruption as well as potential Conflicts of Interests.

Support with the execution of the annual Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment, management reporting and internal and external audit activities.
What you need to be successful:

Bachelor's degree in business, law, management or a comparable field; an additional qualification (e.g. Master's degree in a relevant field, compliance qualifications e.g. Certified Compliance Professional is a strong plus).

3+ years of experience in Compliance, particularly with a focus on Governance, Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest Management, General Compliance, Training Management and Whistleblowing. Previous experience in a Financial Services environment is a plus.

Good understanding of the three lines of defense model and Compliance Risk Assessments.

Regulatory knowledge of European and German (MaRisk, MaComp, KWG) regulations; successful track record of understanding their implementation.

Proven experience in building, implementing, and running second line of defense controls and risk oversight frameworks.

Fluent English (German is a strong plus).
