THE ROLE

As a Senior Product Manager on the Assessments team, you’ll own the shaping, prioritizing, and product development and delivery that drive assessment experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and create teacher- and student-centric assessment products.

What you’ll do:

  • Leverage user feedback and research to shape assessment requirements, features, and product experiences
  • Lead discovery, shaping, and prioritization for AI-enhanced assessment products that align with the Khan Academy vision 
  • Partner with design, content, and engineering teams to guide assessment features from concept through launch
  • Contribute to product vision and product strategy to help drive impact and usage
  • Deliver and maintain clear product requirements
  • Optimize trade-offs between adding more value and getting to releases faster
  • Ensure products and releases are launched smoothly and on schedule
  • Measure key results against project objectives

WHAT YOU BRING

Desired background/experience:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in edTech or similar industry
  • Experience with assessment teams, including content experts and psychometricians, preferred
  • Experience applying AI in learning or assessment settings preferred
  • Applied experience with prompt engineering
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional discussions and aligning decisions with company goals
  • Ability to navigate when to use advanced technologies and wisdom to know when it's unnecessary 
  • Demonstrated ability to iterate quickly, pivot, and adapt 
  • Demonstrated experience in building 0-1
  • Experience in communicating technical concepts to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization
  • Deep passion for what makes great educational technology
