As part of the Vox Media Experiential Team you will work across many different custom advertiser events and tent-pole events including, but not limited to Code Conference, Vulture Festival, Sundance Film Festival, How I Get It Done events, Pivot Schooled and new franchises under development. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will drive the end-to-end event marketing strategy for Vox Media Experiential and Conferences team. Partnering with producers and leadership, you will develop and execute the marketing strategy for a broad spectrum of experiential programs; marketing a suite of in-person events, conferences and experiences. You will drive promotion and engagement strategy to market Vox Media brands and lines of business to engage audiences and convert them to event attendees, subscribers, to editorial franchise readers and to drive commerce. This position requires a hands-on experienced individual with a good balance of audience marketing, content strategy, and collaborative competencies. 

    • Lead and execute experiential marketing efforts across the team with high-level input on tactics, tools and cross departmental support 
    • Research, develop and implement technical platforms for the experiential team based on current needs and innovations as well as annual budgets including CRM, website, data management and virtual event platforms 
    • Lead and execute on audience segmentation, attendance strategy and promotional assets and tools to maximize exposure, procure a qualified audience and build first-party data 
    • Oversee clear target audiences based upon sponsor objectives, editorial vision, brand marketing/exposure or other key objectives for each event and program. Clearly understand each event, its unique market position and target audiences. 
    • Oversee the marketing strategy for every event product via paid, earned and owned channels. This also includes creating premium bundles such as subscriptions to event series, subscriptions plus events, special communities plus events, masterclasses, and exclusive merchandise
    • Collaborate with I&I, data and analytics teams on regular research and data from promotional efforts, event audiences, and metrics to inform and develop key takeaways on products to develop, customer experience and sponsorship opportunities 
    • Develop customer journey with a corresponding schedule to implement consumer-facing, ticket sales/revenue driving marketing campaigns for key initiatives and develop copy/storytelling mechanisms to drive engagement pre, during and post event as needed
    • Develop and update external-facing materials in partnership with brand marketing and communications teams including GP, sizzle reel(s), recap decks, external communications
