About the role

Job Summary

The OPS Assistant Graduate Advisor provides essential administrative and student support for graduate academic programs. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of student records, communicates critical program information, and supports the overall graduate student experience.

Job Description

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Stay informed about program requirements, policies, and procedures, and provide accurate information to students and Program Coordinators. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including academic program plans, and other relevant information. 
  • Assist with the dissemination of information to students, including welcome letters, plans of study, program updates, deadlines, and important announcements. 
  • Work collaboratively with Graduate Program Coordinators, faculty, staff, and other departments to support graduate students. 
  • Ensures adherence to all university and college policies, student privacy/ confidentiality and FERPA.

Other Duties:

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
