The Endpoint Security team is looking for a motivated Senior Engineer to join us in developing the tools that keep Target’s endpoints secure. As a member of this high performing team, you’ll use Agile and DevOps delivery methods to improve the security of our endpoints. Our team is focused on innovation, fast problem-solving and a culture of inclusion.
As a Senior Engineer on Target’s Endpoint Security team, you will:
Develop and enhance products that keep our endpoints secure
Use scripting languages, open-source tools, and vendor products to build robust, well-tested, automated, and scalable security controls
Lead the evaluation, testing, design, and implementation of endpoint security tools
Support and maintain products that secure hundreds of thousands of endpoints
Test endpoint security tool capabilities against threats in lab environments
Research and improve upon industry best practices
Work closely with partner teams
Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices

About You
4-year degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Designs, implements, and supports open source and vendor security tools such as Next-Gen Antivirus (NGAV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and security logging pipelines.
Builds automated test and deploy pipelines for endpoint security tools (CI/CD)
Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, managed public cloud equivalents, etc.
Builds and manages IT infrastructure and supporting applications, such as Linux servers, client operating systems, ELK, Telegraf, Docker, etc.
Hands-on experience with a scripting language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
A desire to build subject matter expertise in threat detection, prevention, and response
A passion for learning how to test endpoint security tools against attack frameworks, living off the land techniques, and malware
Experience leveraging PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Designs new testing methods and resolves routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistance
Collaborative mindset centered on team goals
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and sense of ownership
Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
